Vintage shirt, Target skirt and heels, Gap sunglasses, L’Oreal “Penelope’s Red” lipstick
The sweetest stray puppy has adopted us. He is so precious. In other news, the weather is getting cooler, and it’s causing me to lean towards plaid. My bestie and I threw a fall bash last night, and I’m getting more and more excited about the upcoming season.
Thrifted dress & belt, Target necklace & heels
I found this polka dot number yesterday. It’s a little dowdy but also kind of great. It also reminds me of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I figured I’d make the most of it by pairing it with some killer heels. Had to.
Thrifted shirt, skirt, & bag, Target belt, Born oxfords, Revlon “Fire & Ice” lipstick
I wore this outfit for some thrifting with my bestie, and did we ever make a haul! Maybe wearing all Hope Chest-acquired clothing gives me better odds in finding other thrift goodies.
Thrifted top, Target skirt & headband, Payless heels, Revlon “Demure” lipstick
I awoke this morning to an email from ASOS trying to sell me leather skirts. It reminded me of this bad boy, and again, being at a loss for an idea of what to wear with it, I went with this sequined number. My grandpa told me that I look like a referee today, which is hilarious. I always thought that this strange sort of striping reminded me of something! I also tried to channel a sort of ’60s girl hair with the headband.
Anthropologie dress & headband, Kate Spade earrings, Born oxfords, Revlon “Fire & Ice” lipstick
This dress is one of my favorites. I’m such a sucker for back details, and I love the pretty stripes and neckline. Perfect sundress.
Forever 21 top, Nordstrom Rack skirt, Modcloth heels, Kate Spade bag, Covergirl “Euphoria” lipstick
Lately, I’ve been into this matchy-matchy phase. I kind of abhorred the idea of matching too much, but now I can’t seem to help it. I think this purse and skirt started it all. They go together so nicely. How can I resist? I tried to twist my hair a la Orla Kiely’s presentation from a while back. Somehow it didn’t turn out quite so perfectly messy, though…As is, it’s a bit polished.
Anthropologie dress, Target heels
I snatched up this dress as soon as it lowered in price. I stalked it for a couple of weeks, and I snatched it up as soon as it hit its second price cut. There’s nothing like a good deal. I’m glad that it’s still warm and that I’ll get to wear it a few more times before winter. I love the pockets and the stripes and the cut of the back. It’s a perfect sundress, and I love sundresses.
Vintage dress, Nordstrom shoes, Urban Outfitters hair bow, Target belt, L’Oreal “Penelope’s Red” lipstick
This look feels pretty fall-ish. I don’t know if it’s the red lipstick or the red rose details, but it’s feeling like a good fall transition dress. Truth be told, I spent the afternoon sweating my face off in the 95 or so degree weather. When the weather does get cool, though, I imagine this dress will look rather nice with tights and a cardi.
Target top, Anthropologie pants, Nordstrom collar, Kate Spade bag, Cole Haan oxfords, Gap sunglasses
I really like the way that this sequined collar brightens up this top. I also like how the sequins brighten up my day—literally. Driving in the car, my vision is surrounded by reflections (or is it refractions?) of light, and I must say that I don’t mind it one bit.
