Repeat
So today’s outfit is a repeat. That doesn’t mean that it’s less wonderful, though. The frills on this colorful number still make me want to dance.
Happy Thursday!

Easy Peasy
As the heat wave continues, I’ve drawn inspiration from summer/vacay wear. I love this tank top—so so easy to throw on, and I love the feminine neckline with its petite ruffles. My hair’s in an easy bun, and I’m accessorizing with a scarf (made from leftover fabric from a project), my favorite pair of flip flops, pearl earrings, and my new copy of Candide. So simple...

Heat Wave
It seems like every ad I’ve seen for the last two months has been proclaiming fall’s arrival. Starbucks is selling pumpkin spice lattes, Michaels (I go there now that I knit, what?!) has Halloween decorations for cheap, and everyone seems to be blogging and reblogging lovely pictures of pumpkins and cranberries or something of the like. My summer tan is long gone, yet it’s...

Try Something New
So, I’ve started to knit. I bought a copy of Jane Brocket’s book The Gentle Art of Domesticity mid-July, and it has inspired me to begin knitting. It’s a lovely book full of color and inspiration, and I flip through the pages almost every night. My first project was a scarf. Simple enough, right? Wrong. My garter-stitch scarf grew from 20 stitches to 36. So, I ripped it all out...

Can't We Just Live the Way We Do in the Summer?
Warm weekends are very much like summertime. This outfit is built on the way I tend to dress during the summer: worn-out rolled jeans, a t-shirt, flip-flops, and minimal make-up. I do love getting dressed up, but today, I really just felt like dressing down with this look. It makes me want to listen to Taylor Swift and Owl City and get Sonic happy hour half-priced slushes with my...

On the Go
So, this look is pretty similar to yesterday’s—jeans, toms, shirt with a little bit of visual interest. Basically, it’s a school day, and I’m wearing the last of my summer staples before it starts to get cool. I know that it isn’t particularly inspiring, but it’s what I’m wearing.

Lackadaisical Monday
Well, today I wore the cropped jeans again. I paired them with this blue top, a cameo-inspired necklace, and toms. The toms are uber comfortable, and I couldn’t think of any other shoes that I was dying to wear, so I went with them. I really like the top, though. I love the Victorian influence with the high collar and lacy pattern. Even though I’m wearing jeans of all things and...

Just Another Day
This shot’s taken from a weird angle, so my head looks huge. Really, my head isn’t that disproportionate to the rest of my body.
See?
Anyway, this is what I wore yesterday. I had a busy day with homework and last minute paperwork, etc, etc, etc, so I got dressed on a whim and decided to create a look (very quickly). The crops are from Target and go with anything and...

A Breath of Fresh Air
Well, today is overcast and 69 degrees! What?! This taste of fall is just too delicious not to give in and hope that it’ll be like this for the next three months. I decided to celebrate with dark blue eyeliner and this ensemble. The cropped-sleeved navy top is from Gap, as are the jeans. The headband is from Forever 21 and is simply adorable. The keds, though, add some leftover summer...

Endless Summer
School started. Labor day came and went. Yet, it is still an 85-degree day, so I am dressed accordingly. I’m wearing two of my favorite pieces: 1. this black skirt. It goes with anything, has pockets, and is a pretty full skirt with its pleats. 2. the tank. It too goes with anything, and I love the ruffles. I really like this look—it’s rather effortless and quite adorable...

Like Candy
Today, I went with a light sweater (always freezing cold in church and similar buildings), a classic black skirt, and low pumps. I love the retro coed feel of this outfit. It’s very preppy and very much what a young coed should wear to school. I found this sweater at the bottom of a pile of sweaters in my closet. I got it from Gap years ago, and I’m glad to resurrect it from my...

Flats and Romance
Last night, as I was trying to fall asleep, I realized that I should wear this whimsical number. It’s one of my favorite tops, and I didn’t get a chance to wear it last spring because it was such a cold spring. Anyway, I’m wearing it today, and I love it. It’s so romantic and whimsical the way that it’s so airy and light and ruffley. (These sleeves are as close to...

Another Day of Summer
Yes, it’s September 1st, but it won’t be fall until I am able to wear tights with a light cardigan (as far as I’m concerned). I like this outfit—it’s very end-of-summer to me. I’ve rolled and worn these jeans at least once a week this entire summer, and I’m not going to stop now. I picked up the top at Nordstrom Rack earlier in August, and I love...
